Peter Eisenman ha vendido su apartamento en la planta 21 de 101 West 12th Street.
El apartamento no estaba decorado por él mismo, sino por el joven Joe Tanney.
A Eisenman:
“I would never live in anything I design,” “Life and art are different. My life is very precious to me—my art is precious to me. I love designing things for other people, but I don’t like designing things for myself.”

Los Eisenman se han quedado solos, los hijos se han ido a estudiar a la Universidad y han decidido cambiar de apartamento. ¿Son los hijos de Eisenman arquitectos en potencia? La respuesta se la dió al periodista:

“If you were a son of mine, I wouldn’t want you to be an architect,” “because it’s a tough way to be in the world. Look, my son who graduated from law school three years ago makes more than I do after 40 years of working.”
